Okay, so my FABRIC HAS FINALLY COME! I tried to take a picture, but my camera washes out all the color. I am SO impressed with how it looks! I didn't even realize "opalescent" meant "SPARKLY!" So excited!

But I am 100% new to even-weave, and she states on her website that 1) the fabric is not color-fast and 2) it is not pre-shrunk. What do I need to do before I start kitting this up?

My second part of my query is that this is 40ct. The PDF says the sample was also stitched a full cross on 40ct over 2- For those of you who have experience stitching that small, do you use 1 thread or two at 40ct? I'm so excited to start, but I'm also kind of scared of this piece. These will be the highest count/smallest stitches I've ever done.

Edit: I fussed with all my camera settings. This is as close as I can get to how fabulous it looks.
