MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE and ALL

Post by Squirrel »

From a warm "downunder' in Australia. It is just after 7am Christmas morning and already 28.3c heading towards a 32c before storms this evening.

Many will spend the day in the outdoors - at the beaches, parks, rivers whatever. Mt lovely daughter and son in law and I will be having a quiet day this year and keeping cool.

Merry Christmas.
Shattered - did the cooking, only way to ensure it all gets on the table at the same time.

Regards,

Richard.

Thankfully my daughter worked it out well, with cold meats and salads, lightly fried/warmed through cold roast vegetables and the steamed fruit pudding looked after itself. :0 A fabulous meal for a 34c degree day which ended spectacularly about 7pm with a huge thunderstorm and torrential rain.

Sally, your Christmas Day weather sounds somewhat extreme. But then we had showers, plus 6C and then a fantastic rainbow.

Lyudmilla, not as extreme as some places only an hour or so inland where 36c -38c seemed to be common on the weather map. :)
Hope your snow and freezing weather forgets to appear this winter.

Now much cooler and off to stitch some more on another little mouse motif.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! :king:

Lyudmilla, thank you for the superb photos and carols on the links. On the second one, I can see people in the most colourful and fabulous clothes processing in the snow. Where are they all going?

Richard, hope that the meal went according to plan and that you regained your strength, eating it :D

Sally, I am glad that the temperature is cooler today for you. The little Furry Tales mice are so lovely. Looking forward to seeing your new one.

We had a family Christmas time, eating and reading cracker jokes!
