Someone help me find my stitchy bug

Post by Ajay »

My bug has disappeared! And I'm partially blaming this parasite growing inside of me for it!

I want to stitch and even take it out .....just to stare at it

Could you try stitching a little without the stitchy bug, and hope that that encourages him back?

Mine must have found yours and gone walkabout with it. I have been knitting instead. Once I am bored of that hopefully mine will return.

I wonder if there is a Stash and Grab for stitchy bugs! I think mine is either there or is traveling the world to visit other stitchy bugs since I haven't seen mine in two months. Hardly ever happens to me, when it does takes a while for me to get going again. If you see a stitchy bug that is far from home, send him back please. :beg:

May be all the stitching bugs were having a Christmas party! There is so much going on this time of year.
As things get back to normal, may be they will all come home. :king:

Ajay, may be try to stitch a small motif and show us your progress or keep posting on here, telling us how you are. :D

I have even resorted to putting out my current work on my worktable to encourage myself to get busy once I have finished on here.

I'm sure there must be a secret place they all go to, to rest and recuperate share stories about how overworked they are and have a party of course. If I find where they are hidden I will kick them out and send them on their way so watch out for them.

Sally, you made my morning with your story about the stitching bugs' partying. Mine is sitting indoors and behaving itself as it is plus 7(Sic!) and wet outside, and I am lucky it is as lazy as I am, so would not fly all the way to that warm country where stitchy bugs are enjoying themselves.

Seriously speaking, if my bug goes visiting round the corner, I just start sorting out my books of files with charts, or look through countless books by designers, and 10 min later there are at least 5 designs I am eager to stitch. Buying some nice new kit also helps magestically.

Like any disease, stitching has sharp phases and remissions, so just enjoy your non-stitchy period, it wont last long.

Don’t worry your stitch bug will return. Don’t put any pressure on yourself. I put my work away so therefore was not staring at it and making me feel guilty and unhappy.

Try looking at other people’s work. On You Tube there’s lots of post on beautiful completed cross stitching. Soon you’ll be wanting to finish that uncomplete work.

Good Luck

Darn that stitchy bug. Maybe stitching something for that little bun in the oven will help.

Guess what I did tonight
Image
Just finished knitting my sweater and still have to put it together but realized that my BF's birthday is at the end of the month. I was going through some stuff and found a chart I thought I had lost. It is a head study of a Pomeranian, she picked it up at a dog show and asked me to stitch it--20 yrs ago. (found it two days ago) The one I did was destroyed in the house fire 2 yrs ago so I figured she will be thrilled to get it again. Didn't tell her so hopefully I will get it done in time, if not she won't mind. :whoop:

I'm sure you will get it finished in time Linda and I know your friend will love it. I do hope she has been able to take up some threads of her life and move on from that horrific experience. :rose: :rainbow:

Yes she has, one is her grandson, she just adores him as he does her, a new male pom that's sired beautiful pups and a new man in her life that seems like a really down to earth man. December is hard for her but she is slowly moving on.

What a lovely idea, Linda. She will be so happy to have the stitched picture back. You are a very thoughtful friend.
I am glad that she is starting the New Year with good things in her life.
