Got a pretty fabric at the post-Christmas sale at our local fabric shop. I wanted something for a workshop of appliqué Christmas trees, some time later this year - hoping for something like the cream fabric with tiny holly leaves I used for the model. No luck with that, but I think this will work too - people can choose to stitch teh decorative edges in golden yellow to tone, or Christmas red to contrast. Red beads as baubles would stand out nicely too.

Associates with the "Strawberry Thief" -maybe because of the birds. I love this fabric and am also looking forward to seeing it used in some project. Happy crafting, Mabel!

Helga the Highland cow has arrived this morning to take my Wrendale stash up to number eight! Next months releases mean it will possibly go up to ten, or eleven, or it might be twelve  ..........................

and at that rate you will need a separate room for just those designs and fabric/threads etc.

Helga looks rather sad so I hope you are going to stitch her soon so she can be free of the confines of the packet. :)

My friend, Cheryl, who now lives down in Cumbria (we knew each other from when we were kids and, small world it is, found each other again on the Bothy Threads Facebook group just last year) has been raving on about how great her Pako thread organiser is and it's the best thing she's ever bought so ................... I ordered it from Sew and So! I can't wait to try it out! I also bought a few more needles to go with it ;) Does anyone else own this and how do you find it?

It's brilliant Nicola and easy to use. I find it invaluable as I can keep track of my needles and make sure none are on the floor where one of the dogs could find it. Bender has a curly coat which picks up all sorts of things from time to time.

When setting up for a new start it just takes a few minutes to write the symbols onto the central card and slide it in and you are ready to go.

I also think this organizer is a great thing if you dont have little children or/and pets. My Yorksire would collect all the needles at once.

I think these are great for when you always have a few (maybe all) colours pre-threaded so you can just pick up the threaded needle with your desired colour, no need to re-thread your needle every few stitches.

I got a Pako needle organizer for my birthday last year and I love it, especially if there are lots of confetti in the design. I pre-thread lots of needles and I am away...
Definitively, a good acquisition :D

My Pako needle organiser arrived today! Have written the symbols just need to thread the needles. I ordered DMC size 28 needles when I really needed 24s  so have asked them if I can swap them. Such a numpty I am should have double checked before ordering!
