You might try oxyclean. It seems to work fairly well and at this point nothing ventured, nothing gained. I've used oxyclean on lots of stuff and it hasn't remove the color. Maybe try dipping some of the leftover thread in and see how it does.

Perhaps something like baking soda? I've read that that has really good stain-removing properties, and isn't too harsh, but I don't know about mixing concentration etc I'm afraid.

Is it only on the fabric, or the stitching as well?

I had a red fruit punch stain on my scrubs the other day and I went to the drug store and bought some Oxyclean in a spray travel size bottle and it worked great. You spray it on then blot it and repeat. Of course it took almost the whole little bottle (very small!), but it would be worth a try.

If only on the fabric, use something like Vanish or other stain remover, take one of those little sticks with cotton that we use for cleaning ears, and carefully dab the fabric with stain remover. I have removed running colour with this method even from right next to the stitches. Of course, you have to rinse it carefully.

You haven't said if the fabric is color or a shade of white. If it is colored I would test a tiny spot before going after it with anything.

I would say try what the others have suggested as u aint going to be losing much, but if all else fails i think u may have to get another peice of fabric. Lucky it dont look like u have done loads on this or have u????

I've used both Vanish and White Wizard. It might take a few goes, but if the thread is either DMC or Anchor, you don't have to worry about the threads running. Just go for it -- the fabric isn't usable as it is now.

ok i thought last nite i would do something drastic.
if it didn`t work i had more fabric and threads to do it over.

i put it in the washing machine.
and well i was shocked when it came out

its gone ,no more stain YAY.
so my sister has claimed that chart to do when she has done the tiger cubs.
