i have been trying and trying to put a pic on my avatar
it just won`t go any smaller .
help

if anyone can shrink this i would be really greatful

It's only a little too big 100px high when it needs to be 80, so I resized that.

That should have fixed it, if not then let me know.

This is what you need, its a free download and is very easy to use. That is what I used to resize my avatar.

Or if you have microsoft paint (it comes free with windows I believe) you can resize files on that.

While we are at it... can I ask for help? I have a photobucket account, but I can't use their edit feature. I open it, resize or adjust my pictures, then don't know how to save them. Can you help me out?

Agi, if you look below the images you are changing, you will see a grey 'cancel' bar, and two blues ones, 'Save a copy' and 'Replace original'.
Once I have the picture to the size I want I select, replace original. This then makes the picture 'saved' at the new size. You will then have lost the original sized picture from your photobucket account, but it will still be in the place you uploaded it from, 'My pictures' on your computer etc at it's unchanged size.

Thank you, Threadbear, I have just tried it out, and finally found the answer. My problem was when I was editing there were no buttons under the image. Now, just to try it out, I pressed Full screen, and then they were there, and I could save the edited version.
