There are no silly questions. Here is the thread that explains what an ATC is. There have been several (cows being the most recent). I have yet to do one though....that may be changing soon. :)

The mittens are sooooo cute! I haven't participated in the ATCs before but I am sorely tempted to this time.

I'd be interested. I've never done an atc before. :) Which would we be doing? The mittens or the eggs?

Are you meaning a mitten shaped item rather than an ATC with a mitten on it ?

I rather like the eggs :-), but haven't calculated yet if they'd fit an ATC.

A little question -- please no-one feel offended but it's simply because my mind works that way  : last time round some of the cows didn't fit, and so some of the ATCs, although they were great fun and I would have loved to receive every last one of them, were not actually ATCs. Which is OK if everyone wants to do a mitten exchange (or a biscornu or sampler or scissor keep exchange, for that matter), but if we do have an ATC exchange, could we make sure that they are ATCs? Sorry if that sounds too fussy  but I rather like the idea of having a collection of ATCs, all the same dimensions but all unique within those limits.

something different.

oh and not fussy at all..that is the only rule of the atc is size..and if we are going to do an atc swap..they should all always be the atc size. I agree..

so we can do mittens or eggs..either way..and not count this as an atc..just something different..we'll go back to atcs later..those are harder and take longer for some..to figure out size of design..etc.
these are pretty much just pick and stitch..lol..

i'm up for either..we could, when signing up, also put which you would rather have, the mitten or egg and we can pair people up that way those that want to stitch eggs..will send to those that want eggs..and mittens to mitten people..

I can do that I think. It is right at finals time for me for school, but I never study for those anyways. I only have to do two, also, instead of the normal six or seven. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. :D (dork.)

Oh! I like this idea. I know which I would vote for... I think. :D I love both projects after checking them out.

Also, as I am not completely aware of how this works, once we make one for the partner we are assigned (reminds me of Secret Santa as a kid in kindergarten, love it!), can we make more trading cards for others in our group (mittens or eggs) or even make the opposite thing for someone in the opposite group (if I am mittens person, I make an egg for an egg person)? :D I am full of questions apparently. :D

Timing suits me.

Eggs or mittens, am not ovely fussed but have slight preference towards mittens.

I have no idea how the swap thing is decided, so when the time comes perhaps you could explain to me (as a virgin ATC-er) how these things are done?

Much obliged :D
