I started Sleeping Beauty from The Disney Dreams Collection (original art by Thomas Kinkade) at the beginning of January, 2014. Serious progress wasn't made until a few months ago, however. I had put it aside to work on multiple other projects during the spring and summer, but I'm back to work on it again and excited to share my progress with all of you along the way!

A small update this week, it seems. Being able to see the outline of the tree now makes me happy though. Lots of green thread in my future.

Instead of an update this week, I thought I'd introduce my new thread-storage system for this kit. The cards that it came with weren't working for me, so I purchased a binder and trading card sleeves and cut out index cards to fit. Now when I need a certain color, I just flip through until I see the corresponding symbol! Loving it and wishing I had done this sooner!
(plus a zippered folder at the back to hold extra pages)
Ooo thanks for the tip! I have just bought gloss away bags but your way looks much tidier!

I haven't gotten around to taking a more recent picture, so here is what Beauty looked like about a month ago. I've made a lot of progress since then so I'll try to post another update this weekend!
So pretty!!!!! I am in love with anything/everything Disney and have recently completed the Lion King 5x7. Your progress is GORGEOUS! I look forward to following more of your progress.
