Midnight Grave - WIP *Updated 09/08/10*
Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place! I wanted to share my with you guys so I have a place to update as I progress. To start off, here is an image of what it should look like when I'm finished.
(Chart purchased from http://www.store.xstitchgirls.co.uk/)
08/22/2010:
So far I'm working on a part at the top, mainly where the moon and sky areas are. Don't know why I didn't just start in the corner, but I know it'll all work out
08/23/2010:
I took some pictures of the colors in the project as well as my progress thus far!
08/30/2010:
I hated storing the colors on the rings like in the picture above, so I purchased a storage set that is perfect for storing threads. All of the threads for this project fit perfectly in one of the smaller boxes. I found a magnet to add for needles too.
Got sick of having to move my Q-snap around, so I have decided to work on a 50x50 area for now, which is way funner! Haven't had to much so I'm happy so far! Also changed how I'm showing the pictures. Click the tiny ones to see it bigger
09/08/2010:
The section I was working on is complete and I'm super happy because it actually looks like part of the image. I was getting frustrated with it looking like a bunch of random colored X's Not sure if I wanna switch to my HAED for a bit or not, but I'm less frustrated. Made a grid of what each page should look like when they're completed too so that I can see if it is looking like it should

Yeah, I thought so too. I hope my finished project looks as pretty. It'll take me a year probably. Once school starts up again, I wont have much time to stitchcarolynbb wrote:That's gorgeous!

Re: Midnight Grave - WIP
Errr..... not exactly my idea of 'gorgeous'! But I shall watch your progress with interest, all the same!
I have jigsaw of a graveyard, with a sword plunged into a grave in the foreground, and a huge moon and bats... It's pretty good, and I love it, but it's not something I'd like on my wall!

Looks great! Will be good to see how it stitches up as well. How many colours are in this? Looks like there'd be mainly greys & browns?

I love the gothic images like this, I have a bit of a dark side. I think it is beautiful, but I understand that some people just don't like it or get itFljotsdale wrote:Errr..... not exactly my idea of 'gorgeous'! [...] it's not something I'd like on my wall!
There are 34 colors in total -- mostly browns and greys like you said. Some of the darker greens, some creams, and violet too.burgundyice wrote:How many colours are in this? Looks like there'd be mainly greys & browns?
Thanks for all the support guys I'll post pictures of my progress when I get a little further in

Not sure yet I live in the attic of a house with other students and people right now so I don't have a lot of wall space. If I move back in with my mom when I graduate, I will probably hang it in my room.stitchiemom wrote:Where will you hang it after it's framed?
