Ernie2jess next project

Post by Ernie2jess »

Right now, I'm working on gettin pictures up of the works (that I have not given away) that I've done to put in my gallery. Will let you know when I have them. Currently, I'm stitching a kit that my mother brought me as a souvenir from the hoover dam and its called guess what "Hoover Dam." Almost done with it, I'll let you know and post pictures. After that, I'll be doing a beautiful piece for my office. Its called "Travel Memories."
The picture is posted in my gallery.

I love the travel memories pattern, I noticed that in my needlecraft mag and thought that would be a lovely pattern, really looking forward to seeing it take shape. Your little one is absolutely gorgeous, so adorable in his little tiger outfit!! Awww! So sweet!

I like the travel memories too. Will you 'personalise' them?

I've never seen this design before - it's beautiful. Can't wait to see how it develops. I think it's a great idea to personalise it, Wendy. :D

I meant... How about making it your own personal travel mementos. Places that you have been and enjoyed.

That would be awesome. Want to go to Paris. I bet its beautiful. Everywhere I've been has been in the US...not too exciting either. Plus, I'm not to good at designing cross stitch. I'm more into kits and charts.

Just wanted to let you know where I was. As of now, I am stitching the Travel Memories. At first, I was enjoying it because it was asking for blended threads, but then all that I keep doing is half cross stitches. I don't really like doing half cross stitches. I think full cross stitches make pieces more beautiful. But anyways, I'm still going to finish it, something just has to motivate me. Am I weird? Don't get me wrong, its a beautiful piece, I just think it could've been better.

Are most of the stitches halves or is it just in this area and it is ment to be the background so the designer wanted it to be a bit more washed out looking and when you get to the main designes then you will get to the full crosses. That is what it sounds like to me because the picture you put up looks like it has background as well as main points of interest to it.

Have I made any sence at all?? :? :thinks:

Yes it does make sense. I'm just so more into the detailed stitching I guess

Out of seventeen different colors, only 6 are cross stitched. The rest is half cross stitch... :x
