You and I - FINISHED 06/28/2014

Got this chart after seeing someone else talk about it on these forums. Finally starting this one! Tested stitches to see which coverage I like best. I think I am going to go with 1 stand and full stitches. 2 strand was toooooooo tight. Also like 2 strand tent stitch, but it still feels like cheating. o_O

Made a lot of progress so far. No color changes yet though and I have gone through nearly an entire skein of 310 black. The last image here is a macro photo of the chart. I assume since you can't really replicate the chart from just that, that it is alright to post it?

Page 1 is officially done.

Most of the black is done for the top row of pages. Missing a bit on the last page, didn't want to jump the 20 or so holes to get to it and didn't want to miss-count, so I'm going to do the rest of that later. Gone through 2.5 skeins of 310 for all this so far, haha. You can start to see more details with just the black, excited to do more. Unfortunately, I have a final exam to study for and then I am moving, so I will have to take a break from stitching I think.

I know I haven't been around the forums much. Life got busy. I moved at the end of April too and didn't pick up my stitching for like two months!! Been doing at it full steam though the past while. Finished all of the top row except for the bit of the face because I didn't want to reach over. Back to the black now for the next row of pages. (Picture quality isn't the greatest, took with Blackberry.)

Well it's been a longggg time since I last posted an update or posted anything on the forums. School and my health issues got in the way, big time, and I ended up taking a long break from stitching. I've since graduated from university and am working on getting a job as a nurse. I started stitching again in the summer, had a little more time on my hands. Since then I've stitched nearly all of the black (minus a couple areas that were 50+ stitches away, so it wasn't worth miscounting and having to :anotherfrog: it all). I've also completed two more pages (the left side of the image). At this pace, I'll probably finish in a year, unless I start working full time :P

Another long hiatus between updates for this project (and from the forums too, sorry!) but I was re-positioning my project to do the last area and figured I should take a picture and share for those who are interested! I have just the detail of the guy's hair left, and then its time to wash, dry, and beg my mother to pay for framing because I'm dirt poor!

Guys! Hey, guys!! GUESS WHAT!! :whoop: :whoop: I finished this piece today! Soon I'll be washing and framing, but right now I'm just excited to have finished this piece finally. Only took 3 years with all my breaks from it :tizzy:

Very nice! Thanks for sharing the photos of your test stitches. That's very helpful for someone like me who's still too scared to start her first HAED.

No problem. Don't be too intimidated! Just try and organize yourself before you start :P For the test stitches, I recomend you do that every time because one 26ct might be slightly different from another 26 ct. It's weird, but true.

It was good to be able to see the coverage like that. Thanks for showing it. Looking forward to seeing this one getting stitched now.

Fantastic progress, and yeah, I think you're ok posting the macro photo, it could be any chart looking at that.
