So this is my first Chatelaine and I am so excited to have started with a small one. This is also my first time with specialty stitches and silks. After being completely intimidated by all of this I managed to get it started. This is part one and I will post again after I get done with part two.

:applesauce: If you hadn't said it was your first Chat and your first specialty stitches and your first time with silks, no one would know. This is beautiful. Can't wait to see part two. :applesauce:

Oooo it's lovely! Your speciality stitches look very nicely stitched...well done! :applesauce: As for the silks you don't need any special practice to use those, they are just a delight to use aren't they?

Thanks for all the kind words about my work. I'm really anxious for part 2 as well. As for the silks, I think I am hooked. After the first few crosses I knew that my very next smallish project is going to be converted to silks. There goes the "this is a cheap hobby" arguement to my dh. I'm also working on Around the world in 80 stitches right now too, but I am doing the cross stitch version. I'll update on that one as soon as I finish part 4.

That is gorgeous work and as everyone has said, you wouldn't know it was your first time with silks and speciality stitches without you mentioning it. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Yay too for another Papillon Around the World stitcher. Very much looking forward to seeing your update - do add it to our general Around the World thread, we'd love to see the cross stitch version. :D
