Re: Maggies Hardanger Projects
Thanks all
And Serinde.. thanks for my new title!
This was my second level class project- and it was all about the filling stitches. I think this is an Emme Bishop pattern? I know a lot of the filling stitches were pulled from her spiral bound book.
I didn't start out thinking I would give it to mom- but it does match her decor. Better it go to her, than languishing in a drawer of mine.
Must get back to the layered hardanger house piece- I think I stopped when I found a counting mistake. Whoops!
For any thinking this looks waaay too complicated for them to try. Honestly.. if I can do this, anyone can. Try it.. try it. Come on! All you need is a bit of fabric, pearl cotton, and a needle.

Which is what I love about this great hobby of ours ! Whatever type of needlework you do, fabric thread and needle is all you need.MaggieM1750 wrote:All you need is a bit of fabric, pearl cotton, and a needle.
Serinde, like the title!

Re: Maggies Hardanger Projects
Hardanger has the additional challenge of counting to five... but not beyond the wit of the accomplished stitchers of this forum!
HA! Wonderful! Happen to have that on my shelf (Embellishments No. 96)... and the fillings are from the chatelaine and teaching samplers. Oh, boy!
