Both projects are looking great, Maggie. I especially like the green one, the design is really eye-catching.

They are both lovely, Maggie. The orange is bright and cheery and the green is so pretty with the shades of green and the variegated threads too. I love it.

Re: Maggies Hardanger Projects
Thanks all for the kind words. Its nice to get the encouragement from other stitchers.
I see I need to make a few camera adjustments. One image is fuzzy, and the color is off. The orange fabric is more of a terra cotta color- not as bright as it photographed. Ah well.. its a learning process.
All of my work has sort of slowed- other things going on that I haven't had my normal time to stitch. The weather has been so nice that I have been outside working on some yard project or another- cleaning up the patio, playing in the dirt.. I mean planting flowers, cleaning out the winter grime from my car.. just something to do so that I am outside. But I think this is my normal cycle.. too busy with other things in the spring and summer that stitching slows down.
My hardanger classes are done now. I think I am going to try and organize a stitch-together type group at the needlework shop. After our class was done, we all sort of went our separate ways. But I enjoyed the interaction with the other women. And I think a dedicated time will help me make progress on projects. And with other stitchers.. who knows what sort of tips, tricks, and techniques I might learn from another.

Re: Maggies Hardanger Projects
I gave my green piece to my mother- she had it framed and I finally remembered to snap a photo when I was at their house.

Re: Maggies Hardanger Projects
That green piece is absolutely gorgeous -- so interesting, with all the different (and quite complex) filling stitches -- and the framing sets it off beautifully. I think you can be counted as a true hardangerista!
