Beautiful work Maud - I really love this chart! I use sulky sliver to grid and there is absolutely no problem in it coming out, slides out like a dream!

And thank you for the info on the thread. I might try that too. I think Mrs MBK uses something similar. Cotton thread definitely gets stuck and my marking pen doesn't work at 28 count, so if that doesn't snag, that would be awesome.

I know one stitcher that uses it as a sub for kreinik in HAED charts, so I'm sure it's possible!

Why not, but you would definitely need a laying tool to make the thread lay flat. I'm also thinking it could be tricky to anchor it securely as it is quite smooth and slippery, it doesn't have the little ''snags'' other metallic threads have.
