Lovely Serinde. No, I can't see anything wrong with tension but you know where it is so you are not comfortable with it but honestly you cannot see anything wrong. I have not seen this one before either but look forward to seeing another update soon. :D

Fantastic progress! I hope the tension issues even up with washing as well. You've invested a lot in it already.

The tree is good, although I'll be glad to see the end of it, frankly!

It is comprised mostly of DMC shades 310 (Black), 3371 (Black brown), 938 (Coffee brown, ultra dk), 902 (Garnet, very dk), 814 (Garnet, dk), plus the odd bit of 154 (Grape, very dk), 300 (Mahogany, very dk), 779 (Cocoa, dk) and 801 (Coffee brown, dk). So now you know! :faint:

@rotfl:
You've just listed most of the colours in the 20,000 stitches of my wife's hair in my 'Honeymoon Portrait'. These are done on black (so I don't use 310) but it makes seeing contrast even more difficult. I can fully sympathise with how difficult it is, and you've done a darned good job.

I am working on this, too. Really, I am. So this is 4 pp done and another half... seems to take ages, but I have a workable methodology now... No matter how I try, it looks bumpy. I'm hoping once it's finally done, washed and blocked, it will look smoother. Not to mention this close a shot doesn't show all the subtitles of the design, either. *sigh*

Haven't decided whether I'm going to continue across the top or down the left side and then work right. Any ideas?

:applesauce: :applesauce: Beautiful update!!! and lovely progress!!! Since I don't park my threads my stitching gets a lot more spread out. I start in the top left corner and then it spreads kind of like the ripples in a pond. I guess I would continue with the section I most wanted to see develop. Hope that makes sense.

I'd forgotten about this one! :shock:

I would finish off that block under the tree, then go to the top again and come down.

Did you have a deadline to finish by ? :lol:
