I just ordered this from Sew and So, should arrive Tuesday I think.

Can't wait to start stitching it for Charlie's birthday in June and sharing my progress here - looks like a fun stitch :)

Very cute isn't it? :) I loved the Mr Men in my childhood, so very pleased that Charlie is enjoying them, and this one just looks a lot of fun to stitch!

So cute. The colors are so bright and cheery. That is one show we don't get over here, or at least I don't think we do. I haven't been keeping up with the children's shows the last few years, but the characters look like the type children would flock to. Maybe its on ETV.

I used to read stories to my children every night before bed, and the Mr. Men books were a favourite. It brings back precious memories.
It's a great chart, and I will look forward to seeing you stitch it up!

Now that I have read more of the posts, am I right in assuming that Mr. Men are characters in children's books not cartoons? Sounds like something I will check into for my grandchildren. About what age group?

This might help Carole. I feel like I was reading them from around age 6-10, but I could be off by a few years. Arby's had some character as giveaways one year. I think I might still have Mr. Nosey around somewhere.

They are a fantastic series of books by Roger Hargreaves. The back cover lists a total of 46 characters though I think there are a few 'special' characters that I have seen on sale (Mr Christmas being one of them lol) I seem to remember a tv show years ago but my memory may be playing tricks!!

The Mr Men (and Little Miss) have their own website:

www.mrmen.com

Enjoy!!

My children were preschoolers when I read the stories to them, but they still had an interest in the Mr. Men until they were around seven or eight, I think. It's hard to remember, exactly.

My son had the Mr Men and the Little Miss sets, 46 of each. It was when we realized that at the age of 5 if we said a number from 1 -46 he could tell us which book was that number in each series, that he was something a bit special. Turns out he has aspergers and has a photographic memory. He is now 12 and only the other day he was giving me all the titles in order although we put the books away a few years ago! Weird but true!!

Mr Men is still on in the UK on a Saturday morning I think on Channel 5.

I have a 20 month old, hence my tv viewing is now all about peppa pig and ben and hollys little kingdom and I think its on before one of them!!!!!!

Looking forward to seeing more progress so you can meet your deadline.

I did catch that new Mr Men show myself a few weeks ago..think I preferred the old narrated version, but enjoy seeing the Mr Men popular again!!

I am glad Charlie has outgrown Peppa Pig, I do find that hard to watch lol
