I plan to start it soon. I got really sucked into working on the blackwork lady, so I'm afraid I'm quite far behind in starting on this. and a video game I've been waiting over a year for is coming out today, so I will likely not be stitching much until I beat it.

An update on Sephina... because of difficulty in reading the pattern I am so uninterested in working on this piece. Printing it out makes it too small and the symbols are very dark and hard to read. Reading it on the computer gets rid of the small effect, but not of the similar symbols and darkness. Plus, not having the ability to adjust the position of it and mark it up as I work is making it so I just don't want to work on this. I've contacted Gecko Rouge to see if they can do anything to help me with these problems. Hopefully a solution can be found because I really do love this design and wish to work on it.

Is the chart a PDF? If so you can use snapshot to enlarge a section of your pattern and then print it out. I have to do that with my Chatelaine as the symbols are pretty small on those too.

I forgot to update this, but Kimberly, the girl that runs Gecko Rouge was very kind and did a great job of increasing the size on the patterns. There's now a bit more space between the symbols and the edges of the grid, so that helps loads in being able to read it. I think they might be planning to offer the larger format of charts based on my feedback and the way things were worded in her last reply with the edited chart.

I'm hoping to start on this soon now. I need to unpick the 30-odd stitches that I made before I got the hoop because they're pretty messy looking. But once I get around to that I am good to go.

So glad you got it sorted out!

It shouldn't take long at all to do the ing, for sure. But in my breaks playing the new Kingdom Hearts game I've been working on making a pincushion with some patterns from cross stitch crazy's best of summer insert. Once I finish that (a little over half done at this point) I'll be picking this one up.

I finally got started on this. Amazing what a difference having a legible paper chart makes in my interest in a project.



I'm quite pleased with my start. There is a ton of confetti in this piece and while I have the guides to help me from putting it in the wrong place, I think it will be easier to work on later when I have more of the design complete.

Thanks. I am glad, too. I really do love this design, so it bummed me out that I wasn't feeling it. I mentioned there's a lot of confetti... which looking at the design it doesn't look like there'd be that much, but there is. That little section of gold was 4 colors. And there was more confetti around it that I didn't bother touching and went straight for the black. However, the design itself is less confetti heavy than Grace. So I think they will be good for switching between.

I'm hoping to get a decent chunk of it done today. Maybe even get in some of the other colors.
