Forest Chapel update 1/12

Post by JazzeyBear »

I've started a new project for a friends mom. She loves everything and anything by Thomas Kinkade, so I was able to pick the project but in the end it'll go to a different home. It's called The forest chapel, worked on fourteen count aida (would rather have a different fabric but its impossible) and the directions call for 3 over 1, I'm back stitching as I go (since there's a lot of it) and I'll be getting a lot of practice with my French knots :(.

This is what it's suppose to look like

And this is what I've done so far

:applesauce: Great start! Your friend's mom is going to be delighted with this piece. With large projects like this that have a lot of back stitch, I always did the bs as I went. Partly so that I didn't have all of it at once and partly because I love how it often makes the details pop. And you will be a French knot expert afterwards too!

:applesauce: :applesauce: That is really beautiful and your stitching is so neat too. Your friends mum will fall in love with it I'm sure. Love a lot of the Thomas Kincaid designs but I already have way too much stash sitting there waiting to be done. I will enjoy watching you do it instead. :D
