SAL - Pokemon (Raichu) [FINISHED]

So I'm doing a few Pokemon for a friend who's going through a rough time lately, and on her top three favorite pokemon are:

1) Charmander
2) Lapras
3) Raichu

Since she didn't tell me the order, I ended up starting Raichu first. Since I wanted them to be a little more on the durable side, I'm doing it on thin, but super flexible plastic rectangles/squares that have punched holes like Aida. I'm not honestly sure what they are, the craft store just calls it plastic canvas. I have two transparent ones left, and I bought two more large sheets (printer paper size) in white today.

So this is the start of Raichu:



It is a free pattern from Birdie Stitching (http://www.wingtips.org.uk/" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank), so anyone is welcome to her patterns (and I don't feel awkward posting it).

I'm working on some of the big areas of one color, so Raichu will look a little more filled in a little bit!

Done with Raichu's main color! It looks a little creepy when the eyes aren't filled in because it kind of looks like a big yellow skull with ears, but I'll get around to that soon enough.

Raichu is really coming together wonderfully! I adore Pokemon. My favouratez are all the first generations, they so cute. But my all time favourate is Charmander. Can't wait to see how he comes out.

Here's a small update, I haven't done a lot, just some black outline. I started on the next bit of orange.

At least he's starting to look a little filled out! I took this with my tablet, I probably have to try adjusting contrast, but I think it's a decent picture.

Well aside from the ONE color I don't own and apparently Michaels can't seem to get in stock.... Raichu's just about done. I just need that missing color.

Not that you could probably tell, but I made three big booboos on this. He's supposed to be wider by one whole column to the right on the right hand side (I shorted a column in the ear and reaped my "benefits" afterwards in mass confusion). I put a row of black one row too high, but it doesn't seem to make a huge difference in the left foot...

And, I swapped two colors entirely. In my defense, I was really, really tired. On the other hand, the colors were close enough it's not super noticeable. So... all in all I think it's okay. xD

You have no idea how happy that makes me. I was so annoyed when I realized I swapped two colors entirely!

I think he looks great and if you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have known it wasn't perfect (according to the chart anyway). One Pokemon down (almost) How many left to stitch?

I'd better not let my little un see this...she's a big Pokemon fan and I would be doomed if she saw it, although her favourite is Umbreon Raichu looks great, I too can't tell were you have adapted it either
