Shoe Tree Updated

Here's my Shoe Tree. I started sewing it a while ago, then put it aside. Anyway, this is where I've recently got to and what it will look like when finished. The tree is stitched in metallic thread - lovely, but annoying.

What a great idea for a design, especially for anyone who loves shoes. You have made a great start to it and I am looking forward to seeing more updates on this unusual design.

Metallics are a real pain to use, but the effect is really great!

Great update on a really clever and unique design! I agree with the others about the metalics. They can be a pain to stitch with, but the result is fantastic!

Thank you very much for all the lovely comments. It's a DMC Signature kit that I bought from the Knitting and Stitching Show several years ago. It was the one that called to me and I had to have it!

Thank you all for the lovely comments. They keep me motivated to stitch. I can't remember when I started doing the backstitching as I go along, I think it was something I did for my Mum years ago. I don't enjoy finishing cross stitching and then having to go back and do the back stitch across an entire picture.
