I'm being really good about the buttonholing; I'd rather ground to a halt last July  having done half of them, but here is what I've done so far this year:

Less work than it looks, I have to admit - all the main stitching had already been done, and I'd already stitched felt to the backs of all of them too, so it's really only the buttonholing I'm doing at the moment :-)

Wendy, they do look a bit like coasters but I'm not sure they'd work like that as they all have beads on them; also, as they are unprotected by my usual acrylic coasters (they wouldn't fit) I don't think I'd be brave enough to put a drink on them...

Ah, yes! This is your buttonholing over felt, isn't it? I really like the scalloped edge. Although I confess to hating buttonhole stitch these days the way some of us cordially dislike backstitch... my tension is always to pot. Suppose I should practice more... :?

PS scissors arrived safe and sound.

Beautiful work! I particularly love the "buttonhole" items you're working on; though I'm not familiar with this type of stitching. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Mabel, I would never have thought of that. Must have a play sometime and see what can be done with it.

Problem is once I start 'playing' with the hardanger cards I forget about my cross stitch cause I am having so much fun with the colours and beads and different threads.

I too am running out of words to use to describe your work......it gets a bit difficult saying things other than brilliant, wonderful, lovely, etc !
Even your photo of the framed fabric ready to be stitched is soooo neat and pretty. Maybe if words get difficult, it will have to be :applesauce: :D :applesauce: :D :applesauce: :D :applesauce: :D
