Not bad at all.
Though, if truth be said, it's nothing short of remarkable.
Particularly when you're suffering under the influence of brats. When we had the first, things slowed down considerably and by the time we had the second all work seemed to revolve around them for a couple of years. Don't know how we managed anything, now. But it does pass, once the youngest sleeps through the night you'll be feeling less shattered.

All the best

Richard

She's been doing that since she was a month old. :whoop:

Now it is less about being exhausted all of the time and more about deciding how to spend the precious little free time that is available.

Pfft.
Our youngest didn't do that until 6 months old. Lucky so & so.
And my wife only woke up once during that time, on the sole occasion the cat meowed for food too. Tracy woke instantly... Hrrumph.

Richard

And here we are 13 months later with a third page completed. The clouds certainly added more interest than a plain blue sky, but what was really exciting was seeing the edge of a tower roof in the bottom right corner of the page. I am very eager to stitch the next page to the right - see you in 2019.

Getting on despite being embratted is a real sign of tenacity.
Glad it's making progress at all. Take my hat off to you.

Thank you all for your kind remarks.

Carole - I currently have three WIPs so it does take time to come back around to this one again. My eyes are bigger than my ability to stitch them in a timely manner, something that plagues us all except Vanessa.

Richard - The main constraint is a massive reduction in available free time. You might think I would have already resumed work on The Ionian Mission, but I haven't yet. Two nights ago my free time was spent rolling around under my pickup trying to figure out what was wrong. By the time I came inside I was very dirty and had greasy hands. The next day was Saturday, but as I was tidying up from repairing my pickup my wife informed my that the clothes washing machine had stopped working. I got that fixed too, but by the time I came inside last evening my hands were covered in shellac and paint primer. Today (Sunday) my wife has been very ill all day so I've been trying to manage mostly on my own and once the kids are in bed I may not feel like spending my hour or two of me time on cross stitching.

Steve,

I know where you're coming from. Had kids, and while they were young my wife took a distance learning degree (at the 'Open University' in the UK, it's one of the hardest ways possible to get a degree). That took 30hrs a week minimum in addition to her full time job, so I know how much of running the household can fall on dads. At the end of the day, I was totally whacked, and then to add to the fun, for the first 6 months I was the one woken to feed them at night. Almost nothing was possible beyond what was absolutely needed.

But now.. the kids are both at university & we have our house back!

Regards,

Richard.

Steve,

You've been busy with unplanned events! I hope things calm down and your wife feels better soon.
