Hello, 22 days to finish a skein of electric blue (colour 996)
It is a very beautiful bright blue and I loved every moment of working with it. It's brightness and deep blue colour was almost mesmerising.

I am happy that I have another skein of this colour to stitch because I just love working with such a beautiful colour!

Do you think 22 days is a lot or about average to finish one skein? I think I'm going slow but at the same time I can only dedicate my spare time to this project.

Anyways, here it is. Unfortunately the picture doesn't give this colour justice in my opinion. But it's taking shape now isn't it?

I'd say you're powering your way through it pretty fast. It's looking more & more like a gorgeous summer retreat. You're doing great.

Personally I usually manage around 140 stitches a day and 100 an hour, though recently I've rarely managed half that. So, a skein in 22 days at 18 count is pretty fair by my standards - though others are much faster than I.

Regards,

Richard.

Definitely taking shape - it looks great! I like stitching with 996 too!

It's so easy to compare oneself with others and get discouraged but the most important thing is to enjoy it, as you say you're dedicating your spare time to it so it should be relaxing and fun. I think you're making wonderful progress! :applesauce: :applesauce:

I can't answer your question because I don't stitch one color at a time, but I think you're making great progress. It's going to be fantastic! And don't worry about whether you are fast or slow - as long as you are enjoying it, it just doesn't matter. I'm a slow stitcher and it used to bother me but now I just accept the fact that each stitch makes me happy, regardless how long it takes to cross that little x.

I agree!! And depending on what size fabric, if you are stitching with 1 or 2 strands, full crosses or tent stitching, blending colors all effects how far a skein will go. And for me, what is important is the process. And when you get a result as pretty as what you are getting, it is always worth the time and effort!

That is looking really great and yes that blue is awesome. You are progressing really well and as the others have said it is stitching for the enjoyment and relaxation that is important, not the speed. :)

I really love seeing how a project unfolds especially this one being stitched per color :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: I also love seeing the blue shades

I have to say, I don't think I would be able to leave a colour there and start another one while I know there's still stitches to do in that colour. It would give me a feeling of incompleteness that I would find very uncomfortable to deal with!
