Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
All ready to stitch these sleepy fox cubs ...
Going to do this and the duck simultaneously so if I get bored of one I can concentrate on the other and vice versa. What do you prefer to do? Stick to one and finish it or have several projects on the go at once?

Re: Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
That looks gorgeous. Will be fun to do.
As for projects.. I'm on 2 at the moment and at the current rate will be at them both until the end of 2020. I do rotate between them at roughly monthly intervals. Have about 75,000 stitches to go on the smaller of the two before it's finished. Rotating stops boredom.
Regards
Richard

Very cute!
I prefer to concentrate on one at a time, but that's a personal preference.

So cute! I'll be following this one as I have three Wrendale designs to stitch.
I used to stitch one design at a time (with smaller ones for on the go stitching), but now (since I've joined the forum) I have several going at once...possibly too many.

What a cute design this is and it is going to be beautiful when it is stitched.
As for me I prefer 1 at a time, but sadly that has gone by the board over the last 2 years with runs of special birthdays and other celebrations needing special stitching done hence Angel is taking far too long to finish.

Re: Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
It must be OCD but I can only do one at a time. Does it count if I have the next one kitted and ready to go as soon as I finish the one I'm on?
Re: Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
I have Jolly Robbin, First Kiss (giraffes ), and...oh wait, I lied. I only have two. Doh!Nicola Main wrote:Ooooh which ones do you have Debby?fccs wrote:I'll be following this one as I have three Wrendale designs to stitch.

No the fox cubs are a design out of the free calendar in one of the previous issues of the magazine but I just knew I wanted to stitch it. I have my eye on a couple of the Bothy kits as well though

What great projects to do. I love those fox cubs. Looking forward to your updates!
For years (before joining the forum) I thought you were only allowed to do one project at a time (I never thought about who wrote or enforced that rule but I guess I believed it). That meant if I got bored with a project, I'd stop stitching, sometimes for months. Then I joined the forum and as my signature shows I swung on the pendulum. Not only do I have too many going at once, most are really big projects, though I do throw a few smaller ones in now and again. The forum freed me up and I will be forever grateful for that. Whatever works for you is the only rule that counts.

Re: Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
I no longer get any cross stitch publications, the French ones are very expensive, and subscription to any UK mags even more, but when I see designs like those 2....I do 'lust' after them. So often the mags have nothing to interest me and I have so much STASH so.......
I shall pull up the magic bench and watch these delightful designs.

Re: Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
Nice start on an adorable project!
I'm definitely a one project at a time stitcher. I work on large projects that have a fair amount of variety to stitch, so boredom is not an issue for me. Plus I don't get a whole lot of time to stitch lately, anyway -- if I had more than one project going, nothing would ever get finished.
But it's all about what makes stitching the most enjoyable to you!

Re: Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
Sorry to say, it doesn't look as if it's available any more. The kit was by Bothy Threads and designed by Hannah Dale I believe, and the current Hannah Dale page is here: http://www.bothythreads.com/designers-h ... 2_232.html
You could try contacting them for any old stock or if there is to be a new run of the kit.
Regards,
Richard

Re: Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
This design is not actually one of the kits from Bothy. It was from a calendar of six designs by Hannah that was free in an older issue of The World of Cross Stitching magazine. You may be able to find the calendar on Ebay but it's not for sale on stitching websites xxx

Re: Wrendale Designs 'Afternoon Nap'
They are SO cute, I love the colour of their fur.
They are irresistible, I agree! I don't blame you starting them. All will be done at the end.
I do discipline myself and try to stitch one project at the time but it does not always work! LOL!
