I do too!! It gives the whole piece a "3D" effect as well. Beautifully stitched! Congratulations!

Congratulations on such an amazing finish! I especially love all the details on the obi and also the golden hair decoration. I think it is called kanzashi, a beautiful word in my opinion.

Beautiful piece of work Wolfie, love the hair ornaments. I am hoping to get Elegance of the Orient for Christmas.

As I said in Stash & Acquisitions topic my DB & SIL bought me Chinese made geisha kit, large one, but after hours searching I found it is a copy of a Dimensions tapestry/needlepoint kit. I don't like doing copies but I do not want to offend DB & SIL. My SIL was so excited when she gave it to me as she knows I would like the Elegance one for Christmas & this would go with it. A dilemma - do I stitch it so as not to upset close relatives & go against my ethics or not? Will have to think on it. :?

Hi All, thankyou for the nice feedback on my completed Geisha, I am quite proud of it. I particularly like how well tge gold thread worked as I normally find the metalic threads quite tricky.

I have now started on this samarai and will be doing some more this evening :D
