Agi's stitching - updated 10 sept

Post by agi »

I decided to create one thread for all of my stitching since I keep losing all the old threads - so much time passing on between updates. :)

In between stitching my boyfriend's gift, I started this as a gift for my great-aunt. I couldn't find a freebie, so I asked around and I borrowed a pattern from a friend of a friend. It's a bit bigger than what I had in mind but going quite fast.

Coming on nicely! :D Lovely neat stitching, too.

What is it called, Agi, and is there a link so we can see the pic of the completed item?

I don't know the name, I only got a page from a Slovakian cross stitch magazine (probably Marlenka, but not sure). It's actually almost done, I just have to fill in the white places with an off-white colour.

Your stitching is beautiful Agi.

That looks very similar to a freebie that I have but I don't recall were I got it from. One of the members on here put it up a few months ago.

Yes, Rose, I remember that one, wasn't it called Matka Boska or something similar? I was thinking of stitching that but it's a bit bigger than this...

I have finished the Madonna (not ironed and framed yet):

I also took out my crazy quilting learning piece. Didn't do much but I enjoyed it :) I got from this:

Yes, it iz - that's why I likez it. :) I found out when I am tired or in a bad mood, it is so good to do this - doesn't need much thinking, I can really do whatever takes my fancy, and it is also a good learning piece as I am trying out new stitches.

The next one, when this is done, will be totally different though... more subtle colours methinks.
