It is taken from a painting Bazille titled "Young woman with flowers"
Working it on 20 count aida.
Have completed approx 1/5 of it, just so much green.

You'll soon get to the more interesting parts - probably very sensible getting all the green out of the way first! (Green background fabric next time :-) ? )

Is it this one?

Hi Mabel
That is the one.
It is for someone else and they wanted the background stitched rather than use green fabric as had already stitched another one in the series for her and she wanted it to match.

Looks like an interesting start, but have to confess it's hard to imagine the finished result at the moment.

Richard.

I had searched and found the image Mabel linked to. But couldn't see any correlation with the background stitched so far. Then I turned the image 90 degrees and suddenly it matched.
Feel a bit silly.

It'll be very nice when finished.

Richard.

Thank you for all your support

Looks great! You deserve a break from the green. It can be hard to stitch all the same color or color family for long periods of time. I'm getting to a section in mine that's going to be all browns, which is probably why I've been avoiding picking it up lately. Looking forward to more updates.
