Merry Christmas to All ~Completed!

Post by Nachstenliebe »

If I couldn't wait for my mom to buy the patterns for me, I certainly couldn't wait until I was done with the stockings to start this!
I wanted to get a feel for 25 count.. It's actually not too bad.. the only thing that I had issues with was the needle. I had a hard time keeping a hold of it
I chose 2 over 1 in cross stitch because that seemed to get the best coverage for me..

Image

My stitch bag is all set!!!

Image

My first row... There's a lot of this one color on the first top of the page..Feels like it will go rather quickly.. That's 77 stitches.. feels like a lot but when one page has 7200, it's not....

How exciting - very cute design. :applesauce:  Is this going to be a regular rotation or seasonal stitching?

I'm also stitching (my first HAED) 2x1 on 25 count. I really like the coverage - but I have found that the stitched fabbie is quite thick. I had a terrible time moving my trusty hoop (use the metal/plastic kind). I have switched to a Q-Snap and getting used to that. Would love to get your take on how you like the feel of everything as you get going.

This will be fun to watch as it is the first one I stitched as a model for Colray Crafts.
I really enjoyed doing it although I do remember there being lots of confetti stitches on the reindeer parts! So make the most of the sky!!!

Have fun

I'm planning it to be a seasonal project. But we'll see, come spring I might not want to give it up.

Oh I'm so jealous - I've been wanting to start this HAED for a while, I've just got too many projects on the go at the moment to, but it's the one I plan on doing next.

I can understand you not being able to wait - it's always so exciting starting a new project and I couldn't wait to start my first HAED last Christmas.

Looking forward to more updates - this is a gorgeous design.

It took my around 6-7 rows of 939 to realize I was three stitches short! Normally I triple check things but I took for granted that it was all one color..
Fortunately it was an easy fix of just just adding three stitches down the line... it didn't really mess anything up at all fortunately!!!
