I've never done it, I just have a bundle of edging I found in my grandmother's things. If I remember correctly it looks like a long piece of picot edging. It has never been ended and the shuttle is still with it. So I guess it is an antique WIP.

I just thought I will bring this up again, perhaps some of our newbies would feel like joining. Or those who had said before they would like to but had no time...
I am thinking of going on with it, perhaps doing a line with letters, ABC - 123, or my name... :thinks:

Wow... talk about awesome idea guys :O

I really want to get involved in this so will be heading into my lns tomorrow for the fabric and materials.

As far as designs that we stitch, do we need to only stitch bands we ourselves (and as a group) create, or can we also incorporate bands from other samplers that we like?

So far, I think, we only stitched our bands, but feel free to include whatever you like :)

Thanks Agi :)
There are designs that I have where only parts I'd stitch, so being able to incorporate them into something like this is just perfect! Means I have a record of it, I've stitched it, and I can sell/give away the chart without worrying about missing on that bit that I like! XD

But I will also be trying my hand at designing something too. :)
Just have to figure out how first!

Taking inspiration and courage from you guys, I spent the last hour and a bit creating this...

Clicking on the picture should take you to my blog entry about it with a printable version if you are interested in stitching it. It is my first ever cross stitch pattern that I've designed myself so don't laugh too much!

I'll be using it as the head piece for my band sampler.

Done a bit more. There is a band here that I haven't charted up yet - will do that soon. Planning on using a modified smaller version of Zebs band next, but going to put it away for a while.
