I might be starting mine very soon - have got my fabric and floss at the ready, just trying to finish something off first :D

Oh wow! How lovely!

I chose my fabric for mine tonight. I found a lovely long length of hand-dyed aida that has a rainbow of colours through it. I'm looking forward to getting started, but it won't be till later this month.

Lovely start, Mags! :applesauce: :applesauce:

I have started another page from my stitched book yesterday, but will look for Aida ad colours for this some day soon and start it, too.

You cannot have enough projects on the go, can you? :)

I have died a piece of Aida with coffee, it looks lovely, another piece is in the fruit tea infusion at the moment :) - I will see which one turns out better... Then I will choose my threads...

I am also thinking of adding a line of alphabet, or just "ABC 123" using one of the freebie alphabets, or perhaps a verse or a quotation... :thinks:

I started mine this morning while Xan napped. It will be my morning project off and on for a little while, I think, although I'll be stitching it this evening too so I can get a good start on it. I've only stitched my first band and half of the 2nd one, so I'll not post a pic yet. My fabric is hand-dyed 14-count aida from a Polstitches grab bag which happened to be just the right width and has a beautiful multi-coloured splash to it. I'll be using various different flosses.

Here's my start. I'll have to put it down for the next week or so, though, as I have to start stitching two jingle cubes and also Charlie comes back into rotation - hurrah!

Oh, so beautiful, Kell! I also started last night, but have too little to show yet. Will take a photo later. :)

I am so glad that at least the three of us are doing it together.... Still hope some other members will get the urge to join us.

One more idea popped into my mind ("Your what?" - we would ask here with a mocking expression ). Some people might find this type of a band sampler a bit boring or not "modern" enough to their tastes. But you could use the same little bands and arrange them in a different pattern, like around the four sides of a rectangle, and put a small freebie, or just one element of a pattern, or something that is "really you" in the middle.

To give you an idea of what I am talking about, look at "Olé" on Papillon's site - of course, I am only talking about the arrangement of the bands, not of using the design itself - that wouldn't be appropriate.

http://www.papillon-creations.com/welcome_frame.htm" target="_blank

You have to go to Cross Stitch, scroll down to the bottom, there you find "Complimentary charts", and then scroll down again for "Olé".

Oh really nice kell, and I am so excited that you have used one of my bands.
Photo please Agi :poke:
I haven't done any more to mine yet - hope to later in the week. I'm thinking of using bell pull ends to hang it up, and backing it with another version in a different colour so that I can ring the changes. I am really enjoying doing this. :D
