:tea: I am making this for my Mom for Christmas. I doubled the width and am using Caron Simply Soft in Red.

See it here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/draft-dodger-scarf

That is one gorgeous scarf and to have it ready for Christmas will mean some fast work I would imagine. Although thinking about it some more, crochet does grow fairly quickly doesn't it.

It will look really beautiful on her I am sure.

That is a lovely scarf. I used to crochet before I discovered cross stitching. Scarfs, ponchos and afghans kept me busy. That is a very lovely pattern. Your mom is lucky.

Beautiful idea. Red sounds lovely too, I like that colour in Caron's yarn. I envy your crocheting ability.

:) :) :) This will be lovely scarf. Maybe it is by now. Do you have any troubles with the Caron Simply Soft? It is soft and feels good, however sometimes the skeins seem to have big knots in them. that is so annoying. But is is so pretty I take a chance every so often. I've started a rather weird looking piece that I'm not working on too hard. It's not Caron, but Red Heart, a blend called Peruvian Print. It perhaps would work up better in knitting. I loved the colors, but as I said, its looking weird. Maybe someday I'll post a pic.

A pretty pattern! It's wonderful how many great, free patterns you can find these days. I'm sure your mom will love it! :D

Did you get this finished on time? It's a lovely pattern. I had a look on your Ravelry page, but you don't have any projects posted :(
