Oh how I wish I knew how to sew. My hubby would be so pleased if I could make clothes. He would even get me a sewing machine if I knew how to use one lol

Hi, here are some more things I sewed lately:

First, I finally finished my first quilt. Way from perfect but I love it. :)

Image

Made an apron, and even made a tutorial and a pattern for my blog.

Image

I am not sure, I don't think I showed this blouse, did I?
Image

Two "new" dresses: this one was made from an old blouse and a skirt.
Image

And this I made from two pieces of leftover fabric.
Image

My new sofa that I bought second-hand and sewed new cushions for it:

A pair of shorts:

My new summer bag:

And one more bag for the "webshop".

Wow Agi!! I just love your Quilt!!  It really encourages me to get mine made...it's still in the 'planning' stage!

So brave making the cushion covers for your sofa, too! It really brightens up the room!

Bags, aprons and clothing. There's no stopping you is there! Very well done!! :applesauce: :applesauce:

Nice to see you again, too! :D

:applesauce: :applesauce: WOW!! What lovely clothes and how clever to make new items from old ones. The absolute perfect recycling!
And :whoop: so good to see you again and to see so much of what you've been up to. I'd change the subject of this thread though. Delete the word attempts because that quilt is beautiful!

WOW! Love the quilt -- it's very 'you', I think. :D The apron is too pretty to use, surely? Cloths, bags, cushion covers! Did you sleep? :king:

I quite agree with Karen's new title for your - definitely "The textile queen" . it fits you like a glove. They are all amazing and so creative. Love that quilt so much, it sure doesn't look anything like a first time quilt that is for sure. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Thank you, you are all too generous.

Well, here is my second quilt. It is going to be a cover for my bed so it is quite huge. I have only finished the piecing, and need to add some border, but still thinking what colour.
I don't have money to buy the batting now, so I thought I would just wait until then, and look at it again with fresh eyes. :) I would like to practice quilting lines a bit before I start this, anyway.

I am quite satisfied with it, it is full of small mistakes, but all in all I think it turned out to be much much better than the first one. That makes me happy. :)
But, on the other hand, by the time I finished it, I wasn't so very happy about the fabrics I used - all leftover pieces from second-hand shops and markets. Next time I will make something more modern.

:whoop: :whoop: WOW That is AWESOME Agi. What fabulous colours, soft yet elegant.

If it was me doing it I would pick a soft blue or greyish blue for the border a bright colour might overwhelm it and you would see the border and not your beautiful and accurate piecing.

Quite lovely!! I love the pattern. :applesauce: :applesauce:

I'd go with Squirrel's suggestion of the lighter border. Easy to overwhelm the blended colours.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Love the fabrics and the quilt and agree with the others on a soft border. Cant' wait to see your final result!

Great job on the quilting!!! I've always admired quilters - their ability to align and sew these fiddly pieces together in a beautiful design is just incredible! I quite like the fabric used, it's very rustic and cozy. Can totally imagine it in a log cabin in the woods, with a crackling fire place :)

Thank you! I was also thinking of something bluish - will have to see what I have in my stash. Not having much money to buy things for a while. :)

This is lovely! Exactly how quilts are supposed to be -- repurposed fabrics. Bet they are pleased to be part of you quilt! :D
