Those who are on FB have already seen this. But perhaps some others are also interested. At university this last term we were sewing clothes, and designing our own patterns, too. This is what I came up with.

The dress is a bit big because it took me some time from drawing the pattern to sewing, and I managed to lose 5 kilos during that time. :)

I love sewing. I just love it. That´s why cross stitching is on the back burner right now.

:applesauce: :applesauce: for your dress (if it gets even bigger on you I'll pay the postage to the US if you can't wear it  ) and jacket. Beautiful items. And congrats on losing those 5 kg! Looks good and I agree

The dress and jacket are fantastic! You're a natural at this whole sewing thing, obviously. And then you go and lost weight? Over-achiever. :-)

Hello, everyone, I though I would update with my two latest quilt top. One is a baby quilt, for my cousins grandchild, the other is for my daughter. The piecing is done, although the blue and red one still needs a border. I am waiting for some courage to start quilting them. I started practicing, both straight lines with a walking foot and free motion but I am still not good. However, I guess, I need to get started somehow, and need to make a few quilts with less good quilting before it gets better :D

They are both gorgeous Agi. Why don't you draw the quilting design onto the tops using a soluable marker? I usually do that, especially when I am hand quilting anything.

Superb designs there, Agi! :applesauce:

When I made a small lap quilt I didn't do the quilting all over. I combined my love of cross stitch with the quilting and made small individual cross stitches all over the design. It worked well. You can also do French Knots. The wadding will stay in place.
I have to confess that I let my friend finish off the edging, though!

What a great idea, Wendy! Thanks. I made only one complete quilt so far, and the quilting is really horrible on it, but the binding didn't turn out too bad. I am hoping for some improvement since then, so I am practicing on small pieces.
