Its been fun to do and fairly quick which was just as well. It is done in a 12 ply acrylic with about 10% wool in it.

and knitting. Something I started 4 years ago and finally finished it and put it together late last week. Sadly the lovely colour of this summer knitting cotton doesn't show up. It is a very soft apple green with creamy/white through it and will keep my neck & shoulders warmer in the summer when it is too hot to wear a long-sleeved cardigan .

Here is the replacement knee rug for my 2nd son finally finished now that spring is here - of course. The 2 bright squares are little mats for his 2 lovely cats. If it hadn't been for them who knows what would have happened the night of the house fire. One of them woke him scratch --------- out of his hand and they all got out the bedroom window ok. He is hoping that the rebuilding will start soon, it was insured but of course one can't replace the treasures lost.

you can't replace exactly what was lost, but you can start building (and crocheting) new memories and heirlooms. How wonderful that their cats guarded them so well - they definitely deserve their blankets!
