Hi from Sunny Southend

Post by PatC »

Hi,

I'm Pat and I've been cross stitching for about 25 years. I was introduced to cross stitching at a Simply Cross Stitch home party. Anybody else remember those? I've been addicted ever since then.

I'm currently working on 2 Humphrey's Corner projects, one for my youngest grandson, Charlie, and one as a wedding sampler for his parents. His older brother, Dylan, who is 3 now, had a HC sampler so I'm keeping the tradition going.

I've also nearly finished a sampler for my middle grandson, Thomas, who was born 3 weeks before Charlie. My daughter and I have shared the cross stitching and swapped projects every few weeks, but she's left most of the backstitch to me! I just hate backstitch but once it's done it looks so much better.

As well as cross stitching I sing in a choir and play in a brass band.

That's me, so hello everybody. I look forward to being part of the forum.
Current WIPs:

Birth sampler for youngest grandson, Charlie, nearly finished.
Wedding sampler for son getting married in September

2009 finished projects

Birth sampler for middle grandson, Thomas

Hello and welcome! :wavesback:

What was a home cross stitching party? That sounds like fun!

How lovely that you and your daughter swap and share projects, that sounds like a great way of doing things. Shame you get the backstitching short straw though!

Great to have you join us
