French Knotts - Help!

Ah, french knots irritate the heck out of me! Hope the links from everyone on here helps you. When I done my tatty teddy I left the eyes till last as they were french knots. There was some colourful language coming from my mouth as I was getting soooo frustrated trying to do them lol, kept slipping through the fabric or not looking like a knot, grrr :twisted:

ooohhhh! I get it now! all this time, golly. I've been wrapping the thread on the needle the wrong direction, no wonder it always slips through! wow, thanks, that was so helpful.
