I have never done a trade here before so hope I am going about this the right way :) I have a stitchbow system that I bought about 6 months ago and I just can't seem to get the hang of using it. Some of the pieces have not been used at all, the rest were used once or twice, so it's all in good condition. I really prefer bobbins so if anyone wants to trade me for it let me know. I have:

1 Binder
6 Binder Inserts (each one holds 15 skeins of floss, so there's room for 90 skeins)
1 Needlework Travel Bag
4 Travel Bag Inserts (each holds 5 skeins of floss, so room for 20 skeins)
80 Stitchbow floss holders

I'm willing to trade for pretty much anything, floss, fabric, bobbins, charts......just send me an offer :) For floss I use mainly DMC but like any specialty fibers (Weeks, Gentle Art, Crescent) and for fabric I like higher count evenweaves, no Aida.

Sorry, Faith  they just don't seem to work for me. I really thought I was going to like it but I keep getting the threads tangled. I may not be using it right, but I've moved everything over to bobbins and that seems to work better for me.

personally i think they look a bit dangerous. :poke:

you wouldn''t want to leave one on the chair and accidently sit on it...

And that's one of the reasons I like them! They can take care of themselves

FYI you can use the travel bag...with bobbins...just use either a floss keeper or use sporting card inserts you know for baseball cards...on the ring binder part...

that is if you are talking about the travel bag that has the plastic pockets to hold the diff items and then the three ring binder.

Yes, that is the bag I have. I was using it that way for a little while but I actually got a small project bag as a gift that I like better, and I figured I would just give my whole system away so if a newer stitcher wanted to try it out, they will have all the pieces :)

Just want to add here that I'm not looking for a lot in exchange, I really just want to get this off my hands and make space in my craft area for more stitchy stuff :)

Faith.. I am a Stitchbow girl too! You are not the only one.. but I just traded with maemae for a big package of her stuff. I cannot believe how many want to unwind a skein onto bobbins when its so easy to just slip them onto a bow.

I would have loved the bows if there had been somewhere to secure the ends of the skeins...i like that you can tether you ends with the bobbins the bows are just to messy for my OCD.

I am with you! The stitchbows are definitely easier than winding bobbins, but I can't handle the loose threads. I am WAY too OCD - I like the neat look of the little bobbins in their boxes.....

Would you be interested in HAED charts? I have these: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9996 If you don't like those, let me know what style charts you stitch. Worst case, send me aPM with a dollar amout you feel is appropriate. I may be able to do an LNS run for things you'd like.

Thanks,

Hmm, I am not a huge fan of HAED (I know, I am a minority around here! ) I usually like smaller designs, Sweetheart Tree or Victoria Sampler, or Mirabilia. I also am looking for some small card designs. I would hate for you to have to go out and get something though, if you've got something else in your stash you'd like to trade that would be fine. Any extra threads or notions would be fine. My main goal is to get these out of the way so I can make room for more stash :D
