Hehe... oops. The story of The Stash.

Post by cinder »

So my husband was updating his financial program thingy on the computer (I dunno what it does. Tracks bank accounts and whatnot, I think) last night and he says "How did you spend $600 on cross-stitching stuff in two weeks?! "

My only logical response was "Hey! $300 of it went to pay the oral surgeon, remember?"

Him: "Ok, then where is all the stuff you bought?"

Me: "Mostly still in the mail. But I got this and this and this and all these things here. All of this was on clearance at Hobby Lobby. This binder is full of HAED charts. And there's all of this stuff. So see? It's a lot of stuff! It's not that bad! :D "

And all he said was....

"You make birthday shopping really hard when you just buy everything you want".

And that, ladies, is why I married him. That, plus he does laundry and cooks and cleans. :D

Well done you!!!!!! :applesauce: .....but if you think THAT is good, then I have mine so well trained that when he is away (he is a coach driver so that is 90% of the time!) he scouts for bargains to sell in the shop or brings me stitching presis home! :P

Tonight he is bringing a whole load of books home he got from a publishing clearance shop  .....On the down side, he was at a Mill (that bit is good!), but spotted a load of massive baskets with iron hinges on them. Apparently they are over 100 years old and were used to bring the wool down for dying, but are now a fire hazard. He asked if they were for sale and the lady said 'No! - Help yourself!'......well girls, bearing in mind I live in a studio flat, where thinks he is going to put it I just don't know!!!!,  - But I DO have him so well trained in every area, I just have to smile and make room for it somewhere! :thinks:

What a love hubby you have cinder.
Mine would have flipped if I spent that much.
Good thing he doesn't deal with the finances in our household.
