This seems not in the spirit of the rules.

This does seem to be an attempt to skirt the rules. I wondered why she had posted all of the messages that she did even when they really seemed pointless. I am going to leave this for the moment because some of our "regular" members might benefit but I am really dissappointed that this has happened it is not in the spirit of our forum.

I wondered the same... Well, anyway, there is a point in what you say, Rose.

I'd just get rid of this person and all their posts Rose.

They don't have the good manners to introduce themselves in the welcome section but have managed to put an un-necessary comment in loads of threads just to reach the requisite number of posts so that they can offer items for sale.
I can't imagine any of us would purchase this persons item when we know nothing about them, not even the country they live in (how could a buyer even guess at p&p)

I suspect that this is dodgy! If it isn't, then BusyBee6363 can come and explain the reasoning behind the actions.
Arrrggghhh, this kind of thing really gets my goat - if you hadn't guessed. :D

If this person was a good and trusted member of the forum I would have bought a lot of the magazines because I cannot buy English magazines in the area of Spain that I live. As it is I feel that the forum has been USED and this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth so definitely will not be buying.

Busybee6363, I think we may have been a bit unfair to jump on you like this. Your posts certainly don't seem pointless to me, in fact you sound interested in what people are doing. Please try not to be upset, we do have people on here who abuse the rules for their own good and sometimes it's difficult to tell the difference.

I have been amazed by the friendliness and support from this group and really hope that maybe you can find that too.

Well, you did post 30 comments over around 15 minutes and then immediately added the post above, so it does look like your express intention was to sell the mags. Nothing wrong with that, and if you are trying to help your parents then well done. However maybe we have not been clear enough about what this part of the forum is for. We made the limit 30 posts to try to stop people joining with the intent of just selling things and not actually joining in the community. That's why people have been unhappy with your posting. Why not ask Rose to delete this thread, show us you really are an interested cross stitcher (we always like to see photos of your work in progress) and try again in a few months time when you really have become part of the community?

I think Susan has made a fair statement and the reason for the comments are fair if you think about what you have done. In 15 minutes you made comments enough so you could access this section specifically.

You did come here with the intention of selling us a product and that is not the reason for the forum. This section is a benefit for members who have established a relationship with other members.

It would seem odd to me that you could miss the welcome section when it is at the top of the forum.

I thought 'great, I can get some money to help mum' but no, just some people not even bothering to care about people's situations. How are we to know your situation when you do not take the time to explain. You could have add your situation when you posted in this section.

It's not my fault I'm not very talkative with people I don't know. This is also a reason some are a bit curious about the way you posted you were willing to add enough so you could access this section and then seem to be upset when things do not work out for you. We don't know you either.

Our site has been used in the past as a free advertisment and we feel used because of that. We want this to be a place we can enjoy with out being bombarded with unwanted ads all over the place.

I could have sent this as a pm but I felt all the members should have this explaination not just you.

I don't usually but in but this forum has been nothing but great, everyone is lovely and uncalled for replies should be kept to yourself, it isn't nice and it is not the way things are here thankfully, I can see that you feel you have been got at but you only have to give a little to get a lot here, they are very understanding and never knock people, I am really sorry the way things tuned out with this post and they have tried to undo the wrong, please give them some credit for saying so.
