I wasn't in the mood to start the next square of the afghan, so I dug through my stash of kits and decided to do something completely different. It's a mousepad kit done on 18 ct. vinyl weave. Here's the picture of it from the package:
I got a late start on it today and decided to do all the borders first, so this is as far as I got:
I looked at this company's website and they've got several really nice mousepad kits including a kitty and one with really pretty butterflies. I see an order in my future!

OMG! Four days with no Internet! I jumped on briefly yesterday when I was desperate and went to the library to use a computer there. You'd think I'd get lots of stitching done, but things pop up and stuff happens. Oh well! I did make a little progress with the mousepad. The needle that came with the kit must have been a #24 and it was hurting my hands pushing and pulling it through those tiny 18 count holes, so I dug out a #26 and it's been going much smoother. I'm glad I did the borders first so that I can skip around a little and work on other areas! Here's where I am right now:

Coming along very nicely. Doing without the internet for 4 days would definitely not be fun though Glad you were able to stitch better with the 26 needle--I love using 26 and 28 needles
