Lost my stitching bug

Post by katstitcher »

Oh dear... I don't know what has happened... could it be that the kids have 6 weeks off and I haven't had a moments peace? There is no enthusiasm to pick up my needle and stitch. I want to, but when I think about it I just put it down. I downloaded some more of my previous work onto my gallery (which was fun!).... maybe tonight I can stitch :?

Not sure if this will motivate you, but I had a peek at your gallery and you have some lovely projects there! I'm sure 'the bug' will return. . .

The bug.. it's such a fickle thing.. Sometimes for no reason at all it needs a vacation.. I find a good stash splurge helps bring it back...

I looked in your gallery as well. :D Nice stuff! :D I have the wolf kit on page one, but not stitched him yet. The tabby cat looks so real! And I love the Orcas - my favourite whales. :D

At the moment I don't think I could get through the day without some stitching time, so hope your condition is not contageous, as I need to live until I'm 330 years old to do all the projects already started or on my list! lol
Just an idea:why not tell yourself you can NOT sew for seven days and then wait to see what happens?

Maybe he's gone on holiday for the summer? I'm sure he'll be back soon. If I see him, I'll tell him you're missing him. :D

Love the stuff in your gallery. :applesauce:

Thanks ladies.. I actually managed to stitch for half an hour this afternoon - I think the trick is to shut myself away from the arguing children! Hopefully the stitchy bug is here to stay as I want to do so much

I love looking at everyone's photos in the gallery - it is amazing what stitchers can do :applesauce:

You do have some great pieces. I can tell you do projects for your children as do I. I do have one question though, when you set up your gallery, do you only post your current project when it's finished or do you keep a record of all the ones you have done or what???

Glad your stitchy bug returned, must be the children he wants to avoid.

Love your gallery too and the one of the cat is fabulous.

I've put my stitching down for a while as well. Just could not get motivated to really get to work on my new project.. I started and frogged 4-5 times testing different thread combinations. I've been reading instead of stitching. I'll be back to stitching soon enough though. I guess I just needed a little break between projects.

I must say I too have looked in your gallery and I like what I see. Plus for me what helps bring the stitching bug back is to read stories on the forums. Success and disaster stories I find both do the trick. As well as reading cross stitch magazine really gets that bug going.

I recently lost my stitchy bug, have been a bit down with my illness and such but last week I felt I should do a bit and lo and behold I have been racing through the threads since

I hope yours comes back too though it is a somewhat fickle thing but it never seems to depart for long xx

I need to get my bug back as well. Especially since it is a Christmas project. I hit the dry spell when I started having a portion that needed to be done on a plastic canvas. Hard on the eyes - need a change. After reading this and that you found your bug again has encouraged me to look for my bug :D Thank you!
