Dr Who is a BBC program revolving around an alien "The Doctor" who can travel through time and space and is the last of his kind. He travels the universe and encounters people of all kinds...and attracts a lot of trouble. BBC America shows it.

Dr, Who is the last of the Time Lords. He travels space and time with an attractive female companion he meets on his travels. He is all but immortal. He doesn't "die" but he regenerates. (there is a different actor every few seasons). He battles evils around the universe in the Tardis. A "space ship" that looks like a police call box which is about 4ftx4ftx6fi high but the inside is HUGE. The series has been goind since the 1960's and has made a comeback about 4yrs ago.. He is non violent but gets the job done. A brilliant show and I believe is shown in the US..

The T.A.R.D.I.S is the space/time ship he travels around in. He "borrowed" it several years ago, but being the last of his kind, he has very little incentive to return it. It uses a Chameleon drive, which makes it look inconspicious and blend into the surroundings, unfortunately...it got broken and is constantly stuck as a police phone box :P It's bigger on the inside than the outside (due to it occupying two dimensions at once). It's a really good, funny show.

Time And Relative Dimensions In Space machine. It's an old fashioned British police phone box on the outside and a time machine / The Doctor's home on the inside. The Doctor has been explained.

It's a brilliant show if you like science fiction at all.

I was elated when BBC America picked it up several years ago. I always enjoyed the old series and loved the new incarnation. I hate to say it, but I've quit watching. (Puts on asbestos suit for protection from potential flames.) IMHO, the series took a serious downhill slide after Billie Piper was written out. I liked Freema Agyeman, but feel the writing didn't serve her or the character very well. The series has always evolved with new incarnations of the Doctor. Add that the "Rose" series was such a huge success and a change in direction was probably necessary. I just don't like the direction they took.

I thought Donna was a better successor to Rose than Martha was -- and I feel she was done out of what could have been a very moving end to a unique companion; her last appearance was just feeble and completely unconnected to the development of her character throughout the series.

Love the starry nights and tardis! Great stuff! I can just see Christopher Eccleston's Dr Who in that tardis, creating the star effect!
But I won't be stitching it - have too much other stuff I want to do; I shall just watch! :D

Eccleston is my fave Dr Who - (even above Tom Baker) - he's wonderfully 'dark as well as being manic! Tennant is ok - better than any of the others apart from Eccleston and Tom Baker. But Eccleston is tops, in my book). :)
