Oh Mabel, what a pretty photo of you both! That's one to treasure.
How wonderful to be able to share your love of stitching together.

Do you manage to see her very often? It is great when you get on with your MIL, mine was a treasure, we got on like a house on fire.

I quite like the contrast of what you're wearing. The light versus dark. it's like two forces coming together for the greater good

Rosemary, not as often as we'd like, they live way down in east Devon so we can't just go over for the day. But we'll be seeing them in May again, and they will be spending Christmas with us, and hopefully a visit in between.

Colyton -- though only for the last 20-odd years. I think they're a Hampshire family originally.

Oh man, this is almost making me cry. My grandmother passed before we could stitch together. :( Such a beautiful moment there. I'm glad you have a MIL you can cherish! :)

What a lovely photo, :D I still miss my MIL, she died 25 years ago whilst I was pregnant with our youngest child so she never got to meet her. She was a darling and my best friend. :)

What a great picture!

I'm lucky that I have a nice MIL too - she's a stitcher too. In fact, she's on this forum... ;)

What a great snapshot!!!!

I never got on with my MIL it was so nice that we never lived very close. Christmas was the only time I really had to deal with her.

What a nice picture! So nice to have a common hobby and interest with your MIL. Mine is great in that she loves to receive stitchy gifts, but she doesn't stitch herself.
