MAIA geisha's - updated July 18th 2011

Post by aj101 »

I think this is quite easily the most time consuming one I have done to date lol. Am determined for this not to turn into a :wip: as we want to put it on our bedroom wall.

Well, here are current progress pictures. The final picture is how it looks today.

Next update in a few days. Easter holidays for the kids so gonna try and find time while they are all playing outside or are in bed lol

I am currently doing this one too, you are doing a great job, it's definitely the most time consuming one I have ever done too, but love the design, the worst bit for me was the parasol, seemed to take forever :applesauce:

Have just had a look at yours gyork. Looks amazing!!!!

It is really nice to actually see someone else's progress on the same piece I am working on, and seeing as you have done yours top first whereas I have done mine bottom first, it is spurring me on to pick it up again when the kids have gone to bed tonight. It has been sat down the side of my armchair for almost a week lol

thanks AJ so does yours, it makes me want to do the bottom bit now, currently doing the bottom half of the standing geisha, also trying to do the backstitch as I go, seems less daunting for me, look forward to comparing progress

Haven't been able to get much done this past week as the kids have been on Easter Break from school, so progress has been a bit slow lol. Not expecting great things this week either as I have got my 15 month old niece for 3 days, she goes home on Friday morning, so things are going to get a bit hectic here lol.

Nevertheless, here is this weeks progress picture:
Image

The ridge running across it is driving me mad, so will be cleaning that tomorrow. Have also changed from a large frame to a ring, as trying to keep the tension on the frame is the cause of the great big dirty mark lol.
