ohhhh Scooby ... I'd get practising those 'puppy dog eyes' pretty much pronto matey and a few whimpers and the 'I'm the saddest little scooby in the world' expression, wouldn't go amiss either!

Corby, you poor thing, I so totally feel for you here. Have a massive bar of :choc: to make you feel a little better!

Oh no. I feel so bad for you. Can they be recovered somehow? I've had my assistant flip my bobbin container and send needles and threads flying but she hasn't tried to actually cross stitch yet. Have a :tea: and :cake: and a :choc: for dessert (my answer to life's troubles). I'm sure Scooby is very very sorry for what he did. Probably just trying to help.

Oh, no!!!!

I learnt the hard way; my dog loves wool, and I store my knitting yarn in a big plastic box. One day I forgot to put on the lid properly, and when I came home, he had "killed" some of my favourite yarn. I could be angry with him either; I'm the one who forgot to put the lid on... But I must say, loosing my cross stitching would be so much worse, it's easier to replace the yarn...

Unfortunatly there isnt anyway they could be saved. He managed to eat most of them. But i cant be angry or cross with him for doing it, because he did give me those puppy dog eyes and has my youngest daughter said "he is still puppy after all".

That is awful! I've had dogs steal food (two fresh loaves on the trot once) but not eat my stitching!

I hope he's OK, watch for vomiting and raised temperature. Were there any needles in the WIPs? I don't want to be alarmist, but puppies die every year from eating the wrong stuff.

Yes he is fine. And no, there wasnt any needles in the WIPs. Oh dont worry, this isnt the first time hes done something like this. He just loves paper, carpet tiles, door frames and £20 pound notes (yes it dropped out of my pocket and he got to it befoure me. Well the list is endless. But i still love him to bits.
Also one time my wife had just made some cup cakes for my daughters and left them on the windersill to cool down, Scooby found them and eat the lot. :)
