Jilly we were trying to teach Serinde a lesson and you go and spoil it. I was only going to with hold the Chocolate and cake until she realized that that word this early in the year is bad. But alas the damage has been done.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

But she seemed so sad, sometimes these little naughty words just slip out
I'm sorry

Did someone mention Chocolate?

Re: using beads instead of french knots
I cannot do french knots! No matter how hard I try, they always pull through to the back. I have actually used fabric paint to "dot" on my french knots, but I LOVE the idea of using beads! Much more professionally looking in my opinion!
Thanks for the idea!
And you guys are a hoot!

Re: using beads instead of french knots
Have you tried wrapping them around the needle in the opposite direction to the way you normally do them? Then pull the thread quite tight against the needle and pull the needle and thread through the fabric in one motion. Might work. (When I was just starting, I had no idea you needed two hands to do such a little stitch! )

I tend to use colonial knots, where you wrap the thread around the needle in a sort of figure of eight. Have a look here
You do need two hands for them, but with a bit of practice (like that wretched tree of mine) they go quite quickly, and they hardly ever go wrong.
