SPECIFIC LOVES:

Joblean 28 Count

SPECIFIC DESIGNERS

Barbara Rakosnik
Marion, Scoular
Pat Rogers
Eileen Bennett
Shepard's Bush

COLORS:

All but my house is done in Earth Tones.

DISLIKES:

Large Patterns
Lots of Color Changes

GENERAL INFO:

I love to cross stitch, but my absolute favorite technique is Hardanger. I'm an avid beader, but I usually only make Christmas ornament covers. I tend to shy away from large patterns because I feel they take to much time, and I try not to have more than one project going at once. That doesn't always happen but it is the norm for me.

Dear Stashmas Sender,

I offer this as my wish list for this fun exchange!

I would love to receive:
Linen – 28 count or higher in hand-dyed pastels or natural sampler-type colors
Variegated silk threads - Hand Dyed Fibers, Gloriana, or similar
Overdyed floss – Gentle Arts Sampler Threads, Weeks Dye Works, or similar
Sampler charts – Ackworth School, Long Dog, Sampler Cove, Moira Blackburn, or similar
Needles – Bohin size 26 & 28

I like these but probably have enough for more than a year:
Other charts, such as HAED, Chatelaine, Mirabilia, Lavender & Lace, Victoria Sampler, etc.
DMC threads, Krenik, beads
Jobelan and Lugana (which I only use occasionally)

I prefer not to receive:
Aida (I never stitch with that)
Kits of any kind

I’m most concerned that I make my Stashmas Recipient happy, and I thank you for anything you choose to send.

Dear Stashmas Sender,

What I typically use:
Standard Threads: DMC or Anchor
Needles: Piecemakers Size 26
Organising System: Stitchbows
Specialty threads: Madeira, Rainbow Gallery, Kreinik, Caron, Gumnut Yarns (basically anything!)
Fabric: High count evenweave

I'm not a fussy stitcher and am always on the look out for different beads and embellishments (sequins, buttons etc) to add to fabric borders etc I use to finish my stitching. I'm also interested in learning more of the 'speciality' stitches (such as those used on the TOS that many on the forum have done/are doing).

It's that time of year! :snowman:

I like most things. I'd particularly appreciate interesting threads or one of those fabric mixed packs that are sometimes available, and don't mind if it's aida or evenweave. I love hardanger, and am working up to start learning more about free stitching and stitches.

I dislike anything twee -- although Christmas does push the boundaries out, it must be said

Thank you, Stashmas Person!

I am a DMC girl and my collection is far from complete, so any thread would be greatly appreciated.

I love stitching on evenweave and linen, but I also use Aida for smaller projects and I am actually almost out of the basic white and cream 14 and 16 count Aida. To sum up - any fabric is welcome :D :D

As for charts: I like samplers, small flowers, bookmarks, birds, folk art, other embroidery than cross stitch...

So, dear Stashmas sender, I think I am not giving you a very difficult task.

Um. So here goes:

LOVE:
- scottish terrier (scotties)
- sheep (especially black sheep, baa ~)
- autumn
- butterflies
- aida (14ct+)
- wolves
- deer
- cross stitching (obviously, lol :p)
- the colours black, silver, gold + autumn shades
- kits (I fail at kitting projects)
- wildlife in general :)
- fantasy
- sparkles?

HATE:
(more like dislike, since hate is a strong word...)
- HAED
- religious
- evenweave
- linen
- anything that could remotely be considered even the slightest bit creepy. :| (yes, clowns are included in that)
- disney (well I like the movies and all for the most part, but not interested in that aside from such)
- hardanger (more like I can't figure it out, though I will admit some designs are gorgeous)
- stamped cross stitch.

To whomever might get me as their recipient, I apologise if I made things difficult for you.

Thank you, though, whoever you are (wherever you are).

My apologies to my stashmas sender that I did not get this in by the timeline.

General Likes:
Bookmarks
Cards
Snowmen
Glitter/Sparkles/Metallics
Hand Towels
Alphabet patterns that can be used to make name bookmarks
DMC floss (have a large Wizard of Oz project I NEED to start working on)
Fairies (not disney)
Rainbow colors
Autumn Colors
Kits
Aida Cloth (14+ count)

GENERAL DISLIKES:
Fantasy (wizards, dragons, castles, unicorns, etc)
Lifelike animals (cats, dogs, birds, african animals, etc)
Disney ( I love the movies, but really have no one to stich the patterns for)

I have never used any other clothes other than aida cloth. I would be willing to try
others. Open to pretty much anything. I enjoy both, quick and easy and the more challenging kits and patterns. I am also open to receive threads. I have for the most
part only used kit threads or DMC. There is always time to try others. :0)

I will happily accept anything my Stashmas sender wants to send.
