what to do with finished patterns...?
Anybody have any ideas for something good to make with a finished pattern? I've made a couple little pin cushions/pillows, framed some, heard people make bookmarks... but I'm wondering if anyone has anything else more useful or interesting to do with them. I usually pick a single thing to work on like a bird or a video game character. Anyway, thanks.
Re: what to do with finished patterns...?
My boyfriend has a decorative vase made from cross stitch and I'm making bunny name tags to put on the door of the hutch.

Most of mine get put into cards, some bookmarks, and I've done some coasters and keyrings. I'm working on a set of white-on-raw-linen coasters at the moment, which will get used as we never seem to have enough coasters around . The bookmarks make good presents for people who you know like reading, and the keyrings work as school bag decorations as well (it's what my cousin's little girl uses hers for).

Here's a link for free directions for eyeglass case, checkbook cover, tote bag, and other stuff.

I've never made a cross stitch vase, but have thought of wrapping a small vase with a cross stitch design, sort of like a cuff. I suppose you could also glue a design to a vase. ( I wouldn't use a clear vase though! )

What about large finished projects? I did one of Jesus Christ for a friend for her birthday and got it framed. I have a number of projects that i want to do but i don't just want to keep them piling up at home as i feel that it would be wasted time
Re: what to do with finished patterns...?
Well for bigger stuff there is always quilting them for pillows, wall hangings, or even a blanket. I have seen tote bags made. I have seen table runners made and the quikting around the edges. These are just a few off the top of my head. Look around and see what you can see and then lrt you mind turn it ito a cross stitch finished product.
