How to stitch 1/2 oz when doing a birth sampler

Could anyone tell me how to stitch 1/2 oz in back stitch on a birth sampler as 1.5 does not look right

Quite right. What ct size if the fabric? Can you post a picture so someone here can match the calligraphy (Mabel!)? We love helping!

Can you post a close-up of the rest of the lettering so we can see the size (in number of stitches, I mean) and style? Then I'd be happy to have a go at designing you half an ounce :-)

I found that page too but it's too small to see the stitch count of the letters. It looks like a fairly straightforward alphabet though, so we should be able to come up with a fraction :-)!

Actually, looking at it further, and you say it is 28 count, how high in count terms are the whole numbers for the ounces ?

As Mabel says it is a fairly straightforward alphabet so it shouldn't be too difficult to come up with something suitable.
